Indianapolis has been selected to host the 2012 Beer Bloggers Conference scheduled for July 13-15th! So many people made this possible and I’d like to take a moment and recognize them since you might be unfamiliar with Indianapolis community.
World Class Beverages
World Class Beverages have been sponsors of the Beer Bloggers Conference from the beginning. World Class Beverages is a locally based craft beer distributor with the technology and logistical support of their big brother Monarch Beverage Company. Conference attendees will be enjoying dinner at Monarch and World Class’ amazing facility as well as a tour that leaves logistics nerds (like myself) melted into a puddle on the floor. It is seriously cool.
The Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association helped win the conference bid with their expertise in planning conferences and creating memorable experiences for all out of town guests. They are also avid home brewers (lunch time office tasting sessions?!) and truly care about the local craft beer industry. The ICVA is spreading the word to local Indianapolis businesses that the BBC is coming to town and they should get involved. Expect to learn and hobnob with some of the people who make Indianapolis a great city to visit and live.
The Brewers of Indiana Guild
This conference wouldn’t be possible without the support of the Brewers of Indiana Guild. They are the association of all the brewers in Indiana. (duh) You don’t hear much from them because they are all brewers and they’re busy brewing beer! Our brewers guild does a great job of supporting Indiana breweries. They have given the BBC their support and this means that you’ll be introduced to some breweries you probably haven’t heard of before!
In future posts, I’ll highlight breweries conference attendees might be familiar with but should definitely look forward to as well as Indiana beer blogs and great beer personalities. Until then, cheers!
