For Amanda, the craft beer world began after a few visits to the Winking Lizard in Northeastern Ohio, nearby where she grew up.  Shortly after participating in their “World Tour of Beers” she found a career change was in order, and ended up working for her favorite local craft brewery, Great Lakes Brewing Co.  After representing GLBC in Ohio for awhile she moved to cover Chicago & Wisconsin for three years before moving again in 2010 to kick off the North Carolina market where the beer scene was already rapidly on the upswing.

After the move to the south, the chance to become part of an organization that boasted women enjoying and educating themselves and others about craft beer was an easy recreation to add to a labor of love.  Girls Pint Out is an important opportunity for women’s voices in this industry, and it is so refreshing to be able to meet new friends who share a passion for freshly crafted beers made by independent high quality breweries.
